Just a friendly reminder the school supply list for the 2013-2014 school year is available here.
The great news is you don’t have to travel far to pick up your supplies — our community partner Del Ray Variety Store, located at 203 E. Custis Ave., has everything you need. They even have copies of the supply list at the store!
And better yet, for every person who buys their supplies there, Del Ray Variety Store will donate money to Maury! Just tell them at the register that you are a Maury parent, teacher or student buying school supplies. And be sure to thank them for supporting our school!
Girls on the Run is coming to Maury! This is an exciting program that uses the power of running to help prepare girls in grades 3-5 for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The Maury Uniform Swap, sponsored by the PTA, offers gently-used
uniforms for swap or sale. Families who turn in their old uniforms
receive points to use at the swap. Cash and checks are also accepted for
uniform purchases. Any money collected goes to the PTA to purchase
clothing items for the nurse’s office.
Prices at the uniform swap are $1-5 (or points) per piece. Families
receive the same credit per piece for uniforms brought it. Uniforms
must in good used condition to receive full credit (free of rips and
stains). Lightly stained pieces may be donated to be sold “as is” for 1
point or used in the school nurse`s office.
The uniform swap is available at PTA meetings and events like the fall
festival. Watch the Maury listserv (yahoo group) for uniform swap dates.
